How It Works

Ultimate Alerts was designed for both active and passive investors, regular people of every skill level – from beginner to more experienced, with full time jobs and a life outside of investing.

This is currently a free service and for that to remain possible we will occasionally feature a small advertisement labeled with “Sponsored” to help keep this service 100% free for you, without spam.

Why We Exist (The Long Version)

  • “Where to invest?”

  • “Where are markets headed?”

  • Should I sell some? Buy some?

These are the first questions people always ask when we say we invest for a living.

You might be asking yourself these questions right this minute.

If only the answer was simple - do this or do that.

There are so many variables to consider, from personal to market-wide, which in part is what makes investing so fascinating AND financially rewarding.

And let’s not forget the timing of these decisions.

It also makes it incredibly daunting and difficult for everyone with a life and a regular job.

Did you see the news that just happened 30 minutes ago that affected interest rates and now the S&P 500 is down 1%? Is this the start of a new trend? Should you sell?

Now, you will come across hundreds of free articles, news stories, videos, podcasts and soundbites discussing the future implications.

Five minutes later something else happens, and you’re constantly chasing what has already happened.

Should you change your investments? Buy? Sell?

There is too much noise, and all you want is to live your life in peace - without the clickbait content that only cares if you see that sponsor advertisement.

Make no mistake - there are many very good investors and paid services.

The problem is - to get a holistic view of the markets and what the risks are - you need to subscribe to 10 of these paid subscriptions, each one covering markets from one perspective, and then read all of the content on a daily basis - just to keep up.

Sounds like a full time job? It is.

On top of the full time job you already have - and family and life and so forth.

What if you could look at markets holistically, in totality, and understand for yourself where the risks are and how to allocate your own portfolio based on your own needs - without worrying about the day-to-day changes in markets?

You can do that, with our help, by looking at the big picture - broad factors that affect everything.

We choose to look at the world through the lens of macroeconomics - which captures broad risks that exist across asset classes.

According to certain studies, macroeconomics explains more than 90% of the returns across asset classes.

Other studies have shown that macroeconomics drives 60-70% of market direction.

Practically, what this means is if a certain company or index of companies like the S&P 500 or the Tech or Energy sector rises in price by 15% over a year - macroeconomics can explain anywhere from 9 to 14% of that move (60 to 90%).

While this number realistically will fluctuate day to day, getting the big picture right means you don’t have to be an expert in every sector of the economy.

You also don’t need to know every little thing that happens daily, to every company.

The struggle we face every day is the same one you do, there is too much information.

Too many indicators and charts and perspectives to understand and interpret - only to repeat it all the next day once the information changes.

This is why we created this free service, for regular people like you.

The purpose of this service is for you to look over our shoulder, and for you to know what we think about the US economy and major US asset classes like stocks (indexes and sector based ETFs only), bonds, commodities, currencies, sentiment, liquidity, positioning, technicals, and so forth.

We treat this as a full time job so you don’t have to.

To clarify - the purpose of this service is not to justify our existence by sending you every perspective, chart, data point and to overwhelm you with information.

We are not interested in convincing you of any one perspective.

When we have a well informed opinion or when something we previously understood to be true changes, we will notify you.

On a weekly basis you will receive a list of notes with things we learned that week that either change or reinforce our opinion about the future.

In other words, we will not bother you with every economic data point that is released on a daily basis.

This service is designed for both proactive and passive investors concerned about the daily and weekly implications as well as the multi-year time horizon.

The intention behind this service is to give you a more informed understanding of the macro economy continuously, without you having to put in the work of following all the information.

In addition, we want for you to make better decisions and to ask better questions rather than emotionally investing or panicking every time you read a headline that is designed to get you in a fight or flight response.

With our service, you can focus on what matters - actually living your life and occasionally getting updated only when you need to know something.

For some that might be checking in for only 5-10 minutes several times a week, for others once a month and for the long-term minded, every quarter.

This is for whom we designed this service - regular people who don’t have time but still want to be proactive in managing their own investments.
